Pastor Petey Tellez was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He enlisted in the United States Air Force after High School and was stationed at Offutt AFB in Bellevue, Nebraska. In June of 1986, Petey discovered God's love as he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. His life was forever transformed.  He responded to the call to serve the Lord in Full Time Ministry.

Pastor Petey served on staff at Bellevue Christian Center in Bellevue, Nebraska as an Associate  Pastor in March 1994 through September 2001, where he served in children's, youth, prayer, bus, and evangelism ministries.

In early 2001, God began to put a passion in his heart to plant a church in Nebraska. He was released into the ministry of church planting in October 2001, planting Hope Community Church in the heart of South Omaha.  

Pastor Petey has his Bachelor's degree in Management & Organizational Leadership and Biblical Studies from Grace University in Omaha and his Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern Christian University in Montgomery, Alabama. He is a credentialed Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of God.

Pastor Petey and his wife Desiree are servants of the Most High God, ready to love God and love people. They share a desire to see the people of South Omaha, and beyond, experience a loving, vibrant, and real relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pastor Petey and Desiree have 4 children: sons Darius (Chelsy) , Darian (Maria), & Darrison (Whitney), and daughter Chastelle. They also have 6 beautiful grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, Jovia, Roman, Victoria, and Zion.
